Dean & Amanda

Funkify Your Life - feat. the music of The Meters (taught by Dean Reimer & Amanda Wanner)
One of Dean and Amanda's specialty's as instructors is teaching funky blues. This class will focus on grooving your body to the music. Topics covered with include body pulsing, body rolls, crip walk and more. There will be a bit more concentration on an individual effort than partnered as these are concepts that add to your own dancing style. This will be a class geared for dancers who have been dancing already for a year or two. For those who are still new to blues, you are still more than welcome to join, however some of the movements may be a good challenge.

Spins & Styling - Lindy Hop (taught by Dean Reimer & Amanda Wanner)

Learn to Blues (taught by Dean Reimer & Amanda Wanner)
For dancers who have never taken a blues dance class before. Here dancers will learn the basics of blues dancing including Blues connection, basic steps and movements like juking, slowdrag, ballrooming etc. Ideally, those who take this class should also take Blues 2.0 because it will build on all of the principles of this class and the moves will be more at an intermediate level.

Blues 2.0 (taught by Dean Reimer & Amanda Wanner)
For those who have done some blues dancing and those who have taken the learn to blues class. This class will be concentrated on the potential of blues dancing. Here we will be working on traveling on the dance floor, intermediate moves, how to listen to music and interpret it through your body and so on.

Dean Collins Shim Sham (taught by Dean Reimer)
This is a famous swing line dance created by Dean Collins. It's a lot of fun and there is a lot of great footwork that you learn that can be used in your lindy, eastcoast, etc. There is no partner required and all skill levels are welcome, but just know that out of the 3 sections of the shim sham, the middle section will be a good challenge for beginners.
