All About Swing Dancing
There are many variations of swing dance, some of which include: Savoy Style, Whip, Lindy, Push, Supreme Swing, Carolina Shag, West Coast Swing, Imperial Swing, Country Western Swing, and Jive. Some of the earliest swing dances, such as the Charleston and Lindy Hop first became popular in the 1920s.

Camp Jitterbug

Herräng Dance Camp
HDC is the largest annual dance camp that focuses on African American jazz dances such as Lindy Hop, boogie woogie, tap, authentic jazz, and balboa. It is owned and run by Lorenz Ilg and four members of the Harlem Hot Shots: Frida Segerdahl, Fatima Teffahi, Daniel Heedman, and Lennart Westerlund. Each year, the small town of Herräng, Sweden is transformed into a multi-week dance camp attracting world-famous instructors and dancers alike.

Juan Villafane & Sharon Davis
Juan Villafane and Sharon Davis are performers and teachers of vintage swing and jazz dances. Juan hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina, while Sharon calls Perth, Australia home. Together they represent a diverse social and performance dance talent, including not only Lindy Hop, but also Charleston, Cakewalk, Blackbottom, Vintage Jazz, Breakaway, Balboa, Big Apple, Blues, Collegiate Shag, Burlesque and various other performance artforms of the jazz era.
Killer Diller Weekend
Featuring the Killer Diller Ball, this is an annual weekend event in Seattle, WA. The weekend features 2 days of classes with national instructors, 3 nights of dancing, awesome competitions including the Harvest Moon Lindy Hop Competition, and more. The goal of the event is to preserve the history and roots of vernacular jazz dance by re-creating the experience of walking into an early 1900's Big Band Hall.
Peter Flahiff
Peter Flahiff is a swing and tap dancer. He’s been at it since 1993 and teaching since 1996. A very highly regarded instructor, DJ, performer, and lecturer, as well as a sought-after lead. He emphasizes the social aspect of lindy hop and clear lead and follow skills. He has taught from LA to New York, London and Munich. He has done some instructional swing videos, radio appearances and helped run some of the nation’s most successful swing venues, among other things. His classes are super fun.
Rusty Frank
Is a Tap Dancer and Lindy Hopper, producer, choreographer, writer, and dance preservationist. She is the author of the critically acclaimed book TAP! The Greatest Tap Dance Stars and Their Stories 1900-1955, the producer and choreographer of the stage revues "Swingin' The Century - The Big Band Show" and "Jazz Tap." Rusty is the producer of the one-hour television special in production, "TAP! Tempo of America" (recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Grant).
Stumptown Dance
