Kate is one of our recent volunteers at Suburban Swing and helps run the free dance in Mission at Heritage Park on Tuesday nights. Kate has been dancing for 2 years and is one of the most friendliest people you can meet. Kate is a Mission girl being born and raised there. She has graduated from Mission Secondary School and is currently studying agriculture (Livestock Management) at UFV.
Being an animal person, she has grown up with many pets which include, a rat, dogs(always lots of dogs), a few cats, horses, an iguana, a couple of pigs, fish, gerbils, mice, and lots of snakes (her parents were known as the snake people, due to visiting schools and libraries to teach about snakes).
For those of you in the know, she's a proud owner of a Case 580 Super L (ask her if you don't know what that is). A cool fact about Kate is she also modeled for Ivan Sayer for 4 years wearing original outfits dating back to the 1890's.
Kate currently works for ES Cropconsult as a scout monitoring potato and rutabega fields. Be sure to thank Kate for donating her time to run the Tuesday night dances.
