Brenda was raised by penguins following a childhood boating accident. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston College, where she learned that not all issues can be reduced to black or white. She received her teaching degree from Boston University, which she attended on a full music scholarship through an administrative error. Thereafter, she worked for four years as an associate at a large law firm in New York, where she once rode an elevator to the top of the Empire State Building. She enjoys swimming and fishing, despite the painful memories.
